Welcome,
As President of the Maryland 1, Chapter of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club for the 2026/2027 year, I would like to welcome everyone to include or present, past and future members to fellowship with us.
The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club is a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement officers who enjoy riding motorcycles. In the spring of 1974, several law enforcement officers from the Bangor, Maine area met and formed a small, local motorcycle club. The Blue Knights, Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club now has approximately 600 chapters, 15,000 members in 11 Conferences within 34 counties and territories.
In 2026, Maryland 1 Chapter of the Blue Knights, consisting of active and retired law enforcement officers who love to ride and fellowship together, will celebrate our 50th anniversary. Also we continue to support our community and our primary charitable organization, St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families.
Maryland 1 was chartered in April 1976, thus becoming the first chapter formed in Maryland. The Chapter was chartered in Bladensburg, Maryland and covers Anne Arundel Co, Prince Georges Co, Washington D.C. and parts of Northern Virginia. We currently have eighty five active members in our chapter. Our members are from local Police & Sheriffs Departments such as Anne Arundel Co. Police, Prince Georges Co. Police and Sheriffs, Annapolis City Police, Washington DC, Pentagon Police. We also have members from Federal Agencies such as, the Department of State, Department of Defense, Secret Service, DHS, ICE. and the FBI.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Prince Georges Co. Police, FOP Lodge 89, in Largo Maryland at 7:30pm. Each year we have events to raise money for local charities.
I would like conclude this by extending an invite to any and every Law Enforcement Officer who loves to ride motorcycles, to come join us. As a former President of the Blue Knights put it, "There are no strangers, only friends you haven't met".
