                                                                Our President's message:

Hello Friends:

As the newly elected president for 2022/2023, I would like to thank each of you for visiting the website of the Blue Knights® Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Maryland Chapter I.

As an organization, The Blue Knights® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, is a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement officers who enjoy riding motorcycles. In the Spring of 1974, several law enforcement officers from the Bangor, Maine (USA) area met and formed a small, local motorcycle club. Soon, Blue Knight chapters were being formed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond. With the addition of Canada, and later Australia, the Blue Knights became an international organization.

Today, not only will you find our members throughout the United States, Canada and Australia, we have continued to grow and have representation in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland, just to name a few. Maryland Chapter 1 is comprised of active, and retired law enforcement officers and we strive to promote our organization as being a family fraternity. Spouses and children often accompany our members to the various rides and functions. We also promote diversity and all-inclusiveness within our Chapter as we continue to be unified as either current or retired law enforcement professionals.

Maryland 1’s current membership includes retired and active members from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, FBI, Federal Protective Services, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Department of Defense, United States Customs and Border Protection and, United States Park Police. Locally; Annapolis Police Department, Anne Arundel County Police Department, Arlington County Police Department, DC Housing Authority, Front Royal Police Department, Metropolitan Police Department, Prince George’s County Police Department, Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office, Salisbury, Maryland Police Department.

But it doesn’t stop there! Our Chapter along with the other Maryland chapters to include our sister chapters in Delaware, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia comprise the Mason Dixon Conference. Given the beauty that each of these states have to offer, know that you are never alone. Rest assured that you will always have friends who can direct you to some of the best riding areas and sites to see! We also have recreational rides to locations such as the Flight 93 National Memorial in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania, Michie Tavern in Charlottesville Virginia, and Max’s Steaks in Philadelphia.

We are also a Chapter that remembers what brought us into the field of law enforcement, supporting our community. Our primary charitable organization is St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families. We also support events such as NBC4’s annual Food 4 Families Drive and Blue Knights-Delaware Chapter 1’s Salvation Army Toy Run, just to name a few. We also support the Law Ride held annually during our National Police Week.

I thank you for visiting our website and invite anyone who has a love for riding and camaraderie to come and join us. Please feel free to click on the “membership” link on our homepage for further information.

In closing, just know that among the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club members, “There are no strangers, only friends you haven’t met!”

Ride with Pride!
